Surfing
In the town of Tofino, it’s all about the Surf. Large, beautiful sections of sandy white beaches up and down the Estowista Peninsula provide a perfect playground for surfers. Areas such as Cox Bay, Middle Beach, Mackenzie Beach & Long Beach offer up some of the best surfing conditions in the world. Scuba Diving & Snorkeling
The waters just off of Tofino boast some of the best snorkelling and scuba diving on the entire planet! Wolf Eels, Octopus and vibrant carpets of strawberry and plumose anenomes, along with diverse macrolife flourish here in the Clayquot Sound.
Divers often experience whales, eagles, sealions, seals, otters and bears en route to their sites. An occasional glimpse of a coastal wolf is a rare treat indeed!

Salt Water Fishing
Tofino is Saltwater Fishing! Our experienced Fishing Guides know the waters of Tofino inside and out, and will lead you to the Big Fish! Clayoquot Sound offers large areas of protected water that is perfect for saltwater fishing. While feeder springs are available in the inshore waters during winter the main run of migratory Chinook salmon, up to 25 lbs., will start appearing in small numbers offshore in early April. By late May fishing is great and by July, large Chinook up to 50 lbs. are being pulled into our marina daily! Book now for the fishing trip of a lifetime!

Fly Fishing Weigh
West provides the perfect fishing machine for the fly or light tackle enthusiast, with our fleet of specially designed boats - 17 feet long, a wide beam for great stability, these boats are designed for two anglers. Each boat is equipped with a quiet and reliable 60 HP four stroke outboard otor, a GPS navigational system, VHF radio, an all safety gear. Bring you own tackle and join the fun! We suggest a 7 to 9 weight fly rod or light spinning combination. To cover a variety of fishing situations we recommend fly lines ranging from 200 to 350 grains or monofilament 10 to 20lbs. A diversity of baitfish are found i Clayoquot Sound; needlefish, herring pilchard and anchovies; your fly / tackle box should contain an assortment of these imitations or lures.
